The eTrex10 is a Garmin tracker with simple functionalities. Its ease of use, reading as well as its precision makes it a very useful device. The equipment fits in the palm of your hand.
Its light weight, only 240 grams, becomes an incredible option for backpackers . Its battery has great durability, extending its operation up to 25 hours with AA batteries.
The computer screen is black and white. Your memory is expandable. For geolocation, the device uses GPS and GLONASS that generate a more accurate location. If you want better reliability in the results, it is recommended to use it accompanied by a compass and map; however, when downloading Garmin Base Camp you will have an alternative to view tracks or route information on the computer.

The new eTrex series is the first-ever consumer-grade receivers that can track both GPS and GLONASS satellites simultaneously. GLONASS is a system developed by the Russian Federation that will be fully operational in 2012. When using GLONASS satellites, the time it takes for the receiver to “lock on” to a position is (on average) approximately 20 percent faster than using GPS. And when using both GPS and GLONASS, the receiver has the ability to lock on to 24 more satellites than using GPS alone.

For accurately marking and reaching waypoints and creating and following tracks, it is a perfect option for its price. It can be used in the sea and withstands splashes without problems. In the mountains it can be used with gloves easily. The only downside is that the memory cannot be expanded, but it has enough to store quite a few points and tracks.

If you are looking for a GPS navigator, quick to pick up the signal, awkward dimensions, a little retro, you have the right product. The scary thing compared to smartwatches like the Fenix 5 is the speed with which it takes the signal and its accuracy. ACCURACY. I gave it to my dad to go to mushrooms and not get lost in the woods. Once turned on, it begins to track only by moving and when you want to go back, the Trackback starts. I recommend for a little smart and more trad use.
